I have seen so many creatures in the woods and on the patio – a long list, including 30 or more kinds of birds, raccoons, possums, coyotes, foxes, wild turkeys, turtles, a skink – but never, until this evening, have I seen a woodchuck here.
So cute – and standing on the wall, posing with its paws together. Perfect!
So I just looked him / her up in my Ted Andrews’ Animal Speak, where s/he is listed as a groundhog – keynotes are Mystery of Death without Dying – Trance – Dreams. Wow – so powerful! and exactly what I’m working on right now. Back to the dream book, and a lot of other writing.
I’m also drawn to the sentence “The woodchuck makes elaborate dens with multiple exits and storage rooms.’ That sounds a lot like me. I like having lots of ways out of situations!
