So once the time for Halloween and harvest symbols passed in the fall, I boxed everything up and put the boxes on a shelf in the garage. And several small items managed not to be found then, but dribbled down to the garage later.
This morning, as I was taking down the tree and the rest of Christmas (which I often do on the Martin Luther King birthday weekend), I finished boxing up Halloween and Thanksgiving.
And I got all of Christmas downstairs, as I was also bringing up Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day boxes of decorations. In this house, we go right from Christmas to St. Paddy’s.
So now, there is green and red all over mostly the living room, although different shades than the Christmastime tones. Hearts and shamrocks hither and thither.
And the big coffee table now has books about the Goddess, rather than Christmas. And at some point, that will change to Irish books, before we get to March.
