Fifty three days of Christmas at my house, 2014-15. From the Friday after Thanksgiving until the 19th of January – the time from the first appearance of the first three decorations – a green ceramic Father Christmas made by a friend of mine who has left the planet, a wooden Father Christmas from my sister and her husband, and a fabulous wreath from the wonderful Samantha in 2013 – to the disappearance of the last piece of Christmas on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
And then this day, the 26th of January, I got everything all put away – it was filling up the downstairs classroom, and today it got sorted into boxes and shelved in the garage.
Everything looks new and fresh and very spare right now. Although Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s decorations have been up for a week. Bet you can tell I love to celebrate everything!
